Norman (5) is an Aeta from Brgy. Inararo Porac, Pampanga. He belongs to the family of elite Aetas who lead the tribe. He grows up away from his own tribe as his father, Roman (24) is a missionary who has to travel from one place to another along with his family. While doing his role as a missionary, Roman does not forget his duties as a father to Norman and spends time with him. He would often bring Norman to hunt wild animals like baboy-ramo and take him along creeks while riding a carabao. Eventually, Roman gets a job as a court utility. He has a chance of promotion in the office but becomes discriminated as he is unable to finish elementary. Roman has to sign a waiver that says he will not assume the promotion. This event breaks Roman’s heart as he regrets not fulfilling his education. As an effect, Norman (16) grows up knowing that his father’s greatest regret is not being able to finish his education. This compels Norman to finish his education by supporting his school fees. While his father Roman, fights for the ancestral domain of Porac and begins to lead the Aetas as their tribal chief. This is the time when Porac, their ancestral land, has taken the interest of Korean investors to build a hot spring while their family resides at Mabalacat, Pampanga. As Roman (48) fights for the rights of his tribe, he gains adversaries but able to find his strength from his family when he goes into hiding as he is chased down by military. Meanwhile, Norman (29) goes to depths of Porac to bring his father food and water supplies and realizes the passion of his father for their tribe. Norman then fights along with his father using education as his weapon. He strives hard to finish his studies and makes his tribe as his inspiration. Norman attributes his success to his tribe by wearing a traditional lubay or bahag on the day of his graduation in UP Manila, where he is the first Aeta to ever graduate in the respected university.
