Empress Schuck returns to ‘Maalaala Mo Kaya’
After playing a rape victim and a teenage boy in disguise in previous episodes, Empress Schuck is set to portray another unforgettable role in a special two-part series of Maalaala Mo Kaya starting this Saturday, November 21. She will breathe life to the character of Curing, a young girl who can’t fulfill her dream of becoming a teacher during World War II. Curing is crushed when her parents ask her to stop schooling three months before her graduation because they have no money. Hoping for a better life, she decides to go to Manila with some of her townsfolk to search for opportunities for a better life. Is her fearlessness enough to conquer the dangers that she’ll encounter along the way? Join Empress on her journey filled with unexpected twists and turns. Matt Evans will portray Maning, a man who will play a significant part in her character’s life. The rest of the cast—Cherry Pie Picache, Carlos Morales, and Gina Pareño—will be seen in part two on November 28.
